Greg O'Connor, the presenter of the Read&Write workshop, has shared the folder with his presentation and resources for all the participants to use.
bit.ly/RTLBCLUSTER7 In terms of what attendees need to have preinstalled. As this training will focus on literacy support via Google Chrome, everyone attending the workshop will need to bring a laptop (either Windows or Mac with the Chrome browser installed) or Chromebook, all with access to admin rights. Please note that an iPad will not be suitable for this workshop. RTLBs need to be signed into Chrome with their Cluster 7 RTLB email address. Before Friday next week you should go to the Chrome Web Store and install each of the following: Read&Write, Screenshot Reader and Texthelp PDF Reader App Fluency Tutor for Google EquatIO We have turned on all of these extensions and apps for the Cluster 7 domain, so everyone will have a full premium version. For the SENCOs / teachers / teachers aides attending, they too can install the above from the Chrome Web Store and get a 30 day trial for each using their school email address. During the training Greg, the presenter, will let them know how they can a turn their trial version into a free for teacher version of Read&Write and EquatIO. Earbuds or headphones would be good but not essential, and everyone needs to bring their laptop or Chromebook fully charged. We will provide some power points in the room for folks to charge their devices if needed. Greg will provide us with a link to the workshop slides and a doc full of resources by the end of this week, for us to share with everyone before hand.
